Patrice Wellhoff, founder and partner at Key Partners, is both an educator and an IT specialist.
He began his career as a project manager within an IT department.
Later, he established a training company where he served as the Director of Education. Under his leadership, the company developed a comprehensive suite of technical training courses, ranging from software and technical instruction to train-the-trainer programs.
Following this, he founded an IT services company, serving as Technical Director. In this role, he was responsible for steering projects and coaching project managers in their roles.
Widely recognized across the IT industry for his comprehensive understanding of systems, Patrice has consulted for major global technology players such as Lotus, Adobe, and Canon. His insights and expertise helped these organizations implement structures that significantly improved communication with IT managers.
As an international speaker, Patrice has addressed IT audiences in major hubs across the globe, including Paris, Brussels, Rabat, and Miami.
Driven by the profound changes the IT landscape has undergone—notably the rise of enterprise-wide systems impacting core business operations—he recognized that the challenges of implementing new technology were no longer just technical, but deeply human.
Deploying a system that impacts hundreds or thousands of employees requires a fundamentally different approach than deploying one for a few dozen. The diversity of functions, environments, and locations involved means the human impact must be fully understood and integrated into the strategy. Restricting change management to mere communication and basic training is completely insufficient for resolving modern implementation challenges.
Patrice has spent many years developing, refining, and testing the techniques featured in his book, RELAX! 6 Steps to Overcome Resistance to Change in Your Projects.
He doesn't just teach these techniques; he applies them daily with his clients to foster acceptance of tomorrow’s technologies. By empowering project managers to drive change effectively, he enhances an organization's capacity to absorb the ongoing transformations it will face year after year.
